It is with immense pleasure and a deep sense of responsibility that I extend a warm welcome to you at Teesta University (TU), the first private university in the Rangpur District. Our journey begins in 2023 with a clear vision–to provide quality higher education that not only meets the needs of our nation but also aligns with the demands of the global landscape. As the Vice-Chancellor of TU, my mission is to create an academic environment that is safe, secure, and conducive to holistic growth. I am committed to developing TU into a center of excellence, fostering knowledge creation, and contributing to socio-economic and rural social development. To achieve this, we are embracing Outcome-Based Education (OBE), conducting research studies tailored to current needs, and engaging in outreach activities to address the requirements of our community. Starting in January 2024, we are proud to offer academic programs in seven disciplines, namely Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Information and Communication Engineering, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Agriculture, Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, and Bachelor of Business Administration. In addition to academic pursuits, TU will actively involve students in co-curricular and extracurricular activities, ensuring a well-rounded educational experience.

Key initiatives to strengthen the university activities would be to establish:
1. Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC): Ensuring and enhancing the quality of education through ongoing monitoring and evaluation.
2. Research and Advisory Cell (RAC): Cultivating a culture of research and providing valuable advisory services.
3. Farmers’ Service Center (FSC): Bridging the gap between academia and agriculture by offering services to our farming community.
4. Mobile Veterinary and Agricultural Clinic (MoVAC): Taking education and healthcare directly to rural areas, ensuring the well-being of both animals and our agricultural community.
5. Entrepreneurship and Career Development Cell (ECDC): Nurturing an entrepreneurial spirit and providing guidance for career development. I invite each one of you to join us in this exciting journey of learning, innovation, and personal growth. Together, let us build a brighter future for our students and contribute meaningfully to society.
